BLUE platinum mag 2
Coffee with Platinum Magazine's Editor
Northcote House, Audley Sunningdale Park
Fri – 6th Feb 9.30am

All ladies

Join us for a relaxed and inspiring morning in conversation with Suzy Walker, author and editor of Platinum Magazine as well as Louise Candlish the author our first book club book!

This event is perfect for new ladies who would like to meet us, Sal and Viv, our Gold Members and anyone with a love of books and great conversation.

Platinum Magazine celebrates the busy, diverse lives of women aged 55+, and we are delighted to be partnering with Platinum to launch The Platinum and Ginger Fig Club Book Club. This morning is a wonderful opportunity to discover more about the book club – and about the Ginger Fig Club itself.

Our new book club will celebrate the joy and power of fiction: stories that linger, spark conversation and tell the truth sideways. Each year, we will champion four outstanding novelists, one per season, chosen for their storytelling brilliance, emotional intelligence and resonance with women who’ve lived a little and are curious about what comes next.

Each selection is an invitation to escape, reflect and connect, with exclusive interviews, events and reading guides that bring readers closer to the writers and their worlds.

Four novels a year. Four seasons of story. One shared love of books – and the conversations they spark.

Our first book – ‘A Neighbour’s Guide to Murder’ by Louise Candlish

If you’ve ever wondered what’s really going on behind impeccably trimmed hedges and politely closed front doors, Louise Candlish is about to take you on a deliciously twisty ride. Her new thriller drops us into a seemingly perfect suburban street where the smiles are tight, the WhatsApp group is buzzing, and the sense that something isn’t quite right creeps in from page one.

Candlish – the undisputed queen of suburban suspense – writes with razor-sharp humour and a forensic eye for human behaviour. Secrets simmer, alliances shift, and every neighbour suddenly looks suspicious. It’s clever, tense and utterly addictive, exactly the kind of book that sparks lively debate around a living-room sofa.

Gold Members who would like to be part of the Ginger Fig Book Club are warmly invited to email [email protected], and we’ll add you to the group or sign up on the day. A complimentary copy of the book will be available for all our Gold Members who attend the even and join the book club too! For those Members who cannot make the event, we will send you a code for 50% discount to buy a paperback copy of the book if you wish.

However, you don’t have to be a book lover to come along to this coffee morning – as it will be an interesting morning with Suzy Walker telling us more about Platinum Magazine itself and life as an editor.
