Charity Fashion Evening with Smart Works Reading – Catwalk, Style Talk and Exclusive Shopping

Join us and Smart Works Reading for a fabulous evening of fashion and style at the stunning Taplow House Hotel on 7^th February 2025.

After drinks and canapes, you’ll be treated to a fashion showcase and style talk hosted by stylist and Smart Works Reading Trustee, Patsy Dhir. *

On the catwalk will be a curated selection of independent, female-founded UK brands as well as sustainable fashion from Smart Works’ rails. And if you’re inspired by what you see, there’s also the opportunity to shop the collections on the night, plus there’s chance to win amazing prizes on the Smart Works Magic Tree and raffle.

Smart Works Reading will be bringing their sale rail with an array of different brands of clothing, shoes and accessories too , many of which still have labels on, for you to peruse and shop!

Smart Works Reading is an amazing local charity that provides unemployed women with the clothing, coaching and confidence they need to succeed in interviews and get the job. Women are referred to Smart Works by Job Centres, mental health charities, women’s refuges, homeless shelters, the prison service and care and youth organisations.

Since opening in 2015, Smart Works Reading has helped 1,780 women across Berkshire succeed at their job interviews. At the core of their charity sits an Interview Dressing and Preparation Service designed to help their clients feel the best version of themselves before their interviews. Every woman who comes to Smart Works Reading receives a complete outfit, free of charge and hers to keep, as well as a one-to-one interview coaching session. They are proud that 69% of clients get a job within a month of their appointment.

The time their clients spend with them can be transformative. They give women the confidence, the self-belief and the practical tools they require to succeed in securing a job and start a new chapter in their life.

They are a small but passionate team of over 70 volunteers and trustees who help deliver the vital service.
