Shopping at La Martina and a day at Guards Polo

This event is open to our Gold Members and their guests, so feel free to bring along your partners, friends and family.

Following our very successful day at Guards Polo last year, we are delighted that The Ginger Fig Club have been invited back to this private member’s club.  This was a really lovely day last year and hoping for a sunny day again this year too!

The day will include an exclusive VIP Shopping experience at the La Martina Store at Guards Polo Club, with a complimentary glass of fizz on arrival, a polo talk by a polo professional and all while enjoying a fabulous day out at Europe’s most prestigious polo club!

The La Martina Store at Smith’s Lawn opens its’ doors every Springtime for the new polo season, with a stylish range of seasonal fashion clothing straight from the design capital of the world, Milan. It boasts a wonderful collection of weekend clothing, including iconic items from the beautiful bespoke ‘Guards Polo Club Collection by La Martina’, as well as jackets, polos, jeans, fleeces, gilets, shoes and a gorgeous collection of handbags that is always very popular. The store also offers everything that the polo player needs, including mallets, helmets and polo boots, combined with comfy sofas and magazines to provide a warm welcome after chukkas!

Following your VIP shopping experience we will have a talk by a polo player after which you will be invited to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy watching a polo match within the beautiful setting of Windsor Great Park. You are free to explore the Club and enjoy the exclusive member’s-only Clubhouse using your unique Day Membership Badge.

As a Day Member you are welcome to purchase drinks and items from the Bar Menu at the Club house. For those of you who like to picnic, why not bring one with you and enjoy watching the polo by your car with a unique side field view!  For those ladies who may be coming on your own, we will arrange for a table so Ginger Fig ladies can sit together.

Please note: picnics cannot be brought into Guards Polo club, but you can still enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Guards Polo.

Itinerary:

12.00: Welcome to the La Martina Store at Guards Polo Club and Drinks Reception

12.30: Polo Talk by a Guards Polo Club Polo Player

13.00: A chance for more shopping or explore the Club, sample the bar menu in the Guards Polo Club Clubhouse, or set out a picnic close to the polo action (picnics cannot be brought into the Club, but you can set this up by your car).

There will be a polo match in the afternoon but we will not know which lawn they will be playing on or the exact time until the day.

Guests are welcome to return to the Clubhouse to enjoy sundowners and the evening sunset over Smith’s Lawn.

This event is open to all Gold Members and their guests, so feel free to book your friends, partners and/or family (children under 16 are complimentary with a full paying gold member). 

It is such a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
