Kathy Priday, one of our Ginger Fig Gold members, has a long established background as a Radiographer who underwent further studies to qualify as a Mammographer.
Kathy worked in the NHS, was head-hunted into the corporate world as the Global Clinical Research and Development Manager, and her claim to fame is that through her work, the company produced the world’s first digital mammography unit.
Kathy returned to the NHS at the start of Covid and has been there ever since.
Tonight, she will talk to us about breast cancer awareness and how to perform the self-checks plus more besides, talking about the myths and facts behind breast cancer. She will also bring along some prosthetics so we have more idea of what spotting a lump can feel like. We are sure this eening will not only be informative but Kathy, with her humour will make it very entertaining too!

Breast Cancer Now is a charity in the United Kingdom which was formed in 2015 by the merger of Breast Cancer Campaign and Breakthrough Breast Cancer. It is the United Kingdom’s largest breast cancer charity. Its declared “Action Plan” is “by 2050, everyone who develops breast cancer will live”
