Thursday 16th March – 2.30pm to 4pm
Northcote House, Sunningdale Park, Silwood Road, SL5
Meet the Author at this lovely event – Tea, scones & cream included
The Novel
The first Elizabeth Ascot book in the series, titled Treasure in the Attic/The Extraordinary Ladies of Ascot.
The novel combines the modern-day story of a fashion designer who finds old notebooks in a cottage in Ascot in 2020, with that of a governess who lived in the same cottage back in 1862. It is a fictional story, however, every character in the Victorian part of the book series was inspired by someone who lived in the Ascot-Windsor area in the 1860’s and 1870’s.
The book will be for sale as a gift pack to include the book and a canister of the artisan tea blend called Victorian Black, that inspired the story and is crafted from high grade, single estate, single field OP1 tea.- this is £35 and can be purchased on the day.

The Afternoon will comprise of…
An actress will read two excerpts from the book and a short Q&A will be held with the author of the book series. She will also talk about the research into Ascot’s Victorian history which is truly fascinating and her friendship with the legendary fashion designer Hubert de Givenchy, which served as her inspiration for the modern-day frame story of the book.
We thought our ladies may find this a very interesting and inspiring event to go along to and it’s so lovely that the book is based around Ascot as will be so fascinating to learn more of our history.
Tickets for this event are £25 to include tea (the Victorian Black will be served) and scones.
